House Zululami

House Zululami is a special project on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, where we were appointed to assist with both interior architecture and interior design detail. We built a close relationship with an amazing team on this one, architect Gerhard Breedt, our client and a great build team, and every site meeting felt easy, resulting in a beautiful outcome.

This home was for a young family who lost most of their possessions and furniture in the 2024 KZN floods, which made the project a particularly special journey: helping them settle into a home that would feel like the family home they had lost. The interior was designed around ease of living, and around our client’s passion for community and her love of African colonial design influences, informed by her work supporting local artisans and organisations such as LIV Village. Custom furniture pieces sit alongside locally sourced finds that celebrate the artisans she loves to support, giving the home a curated, personal feel.
